Oh. Hey. Wasn't sure you'd answer me. This thing is kind of cool.
[Not to mention convenient for hiding his face and sounding totally chill.]
Just wondering if you were busy. I've just got a little... something I could use your help with. [He sounds slightly more serious, like he actually does have something Felix could help him with.]
[He so badly wants to snap but even he can hear that he's actually needed here. It makes him sigh and finally he decides to try burying his irritation a little.]
Where are you?
[To the point. Because he doesn't want to spend any more time on this thing than he has to.]
Huh? Oh! No- I mean, I'm in my room right now, but I'll come to you.
Just wanted to make sure you weren't busy with anything. I'll see you soon.
[He snags the bandages he'd found in the shared bathroom and heads toward Felix's room. He's sans armor at the moment. In fact, he's down to just one layer, shirt unbuttoned low but not completely open. He did his best to patch up his own cuts, a lot of them surprisingly deep, likely angrier because the person he'd been trapped in the room with had suggested trying to break out and he'd gone along with it. After healing magic backfired last time, he hasn't dared try with these ones and, unfortunately he has a few cuts in places he can't reach easily.
He pauses in front of the door, pretty sure it's Felix's, and knocks.]
[Felix snaps to tell his dogs to be quiet then goes to answer the door. Sylvain can tell he's already looking him over to see what's wrong with him even as he steps aside to let him in.]
Go sit down on the bed. You know which one is mine.
[For starter's, Sylvain is down to his pants and shirt, which is unbuttoned and open. He'd had it off and pulled it back on for the short trek to Felix's room. He had a few smaller, shallower cuts that he'd cleaned up and a few deeper ones that he'd bandaged, but there were a handful he couldn't really reach, including one very vindictive cut that had sliced behind his ear and down toward his neck. It still looks pretty messy. He's also walking a little gingerly as he follows Felix's instructions but also shrugs back out of his shirt, revealing a few cuts on his back and shoulders.]
[He frowns at the injuries and waves the animals off as he closes the door. Grabbing the bandages, he goes to sit behind him. Those are the ones that Sylvain won't be able to reach and he knows it.]
[He leans forward a bit by instinct, giving Felix room to clean the cuts up and bandage them. Most barely need it but there are the occasional ones that are quite a bit deeper.]
The room where you have to have your sin carved into you... The other person didn't want to do it. So we didn't. We just... took the punishment. [Sylvain, naturally, hadn't argued with them.] They also thought we might be able to break out by banging the door down. [He'd told her it was a terrible idea but gone along anyway.] Apparently that just really pisses them off.
[Felix at least lets his hands be gentle as he cleans the cuts. He doesn't actually want to make them worse, after all. He might be annoyed but he wants Sylvain to heal properly.]
Yeah, she's okay. I got the cuts she couldn't reach.
[He's quiet a moment, debating on whether or not to say more but it's Felix, he'll figure it out and ask anyway so he might as well just get it out in the open.]
I didn't think these were that bad. But they're still bleeding.
Sure, but when I did this before they weren't this bad. [He sighs.] I told her we should have just carved the sins into one another. It's not that bad.
[He already has an ugly 'LUST' carved into his chest but that had to be better than a bunch of cuts.]
Fix it? Fix what? You mean do something about the cuts? Not while we were in the room. I took her back to the suite I'm in and we did what we could with this little medical kit that was in the kitchen.
[He held out his arms, turning them a bit to show that some of the cuts had been cleaned up and seemed to have been shallow enough to stop bleeding on their own.] I thought they were all like that.
You make me wonder how you've lived this long sometimes.
[Shaking his head, he starts applying an ointment to help the wounds to close without infection. Only then does he start to wrap his friend in bandages, reaching around him to do it and having to move in close each time.]
Why didn't she take care of these? Does she have no medical training?
[Felix's chiding simply earns him a smile from Sylvain who tilts his head slightly to look at him over his shoulder.
He looks down at feet as Felix wraps the deeper cuts. He could offer to take the bandage from him to wrap the front of him and then pass it back but he kind of likes feeling Felix this close.]
She patched up the deeper ones on my arms and chest. The other ones didn't really hurt. I thought they were shallow so I told her not to bother... Then I realized they were still bleeding.
You don't have to do all of them. Just the ones that look bad.
[The fact that he was snapping at him was honestly just a sign that he was worried. So he was doing this because he cared. It helped him feel better to know that he could help his friend in some way when he was hurt. Because he knew that with how this place worked he might not always be able to.
He hated that. So much.
At least he was behind Sylvain so he couldn't see his face and how mad he was at himself for not being stronger to deal with the fact that he couldn't always protect his friend.]
[Sylvain bows his head slightly to hide a soft smile he can't quite keep from tugging at the corner of his mouth.]
Okay.
Hey, where are you going? [It's even accompanied by a quiet noise, suspiciously close to a sad whine when Felix suddenly isn't pressed close against him anymore.]
[Of course, hearing their names gets both the dog and Sylvain's attention, raising an eyebrow in confusion until he realizes Felix is talking to the dog who is already hopping up on the bed to nuzzle up under one of his arms.
He sighs as he looks at the dog, giving him a quick pet. He's cute and doing just what his master had told him so Sylvain really can't complain, even if he'd rather have Felix back pressed against him. The injuries weren't that bad but all he wanted to do was get patched up and curl up (in Felix's bed) and take a nap, feeling drained.]
[Felix is only gone a couple of minutes, coming back with water for them both too. He hands Sylvain one of them. Even if it's only a little blood loss the water will still help him out.]
Drink up.
[Then Felix goes to sit with him, reaching out to scratch the puppy's ears. He even stays close to Sylvain as if to tell him somehow "See? I said I'd be back."]
[Pupvain looks up at him before glancing at the door Felix had disappeared through with a quiet whine.] I know, right? [He talks to the dog in a quiet whisper, smirking when Pupvain gives him a quick lick, seemingly excited just for the attention.]
Oh, thanks.
[He's not thirsty but he takes a drink anyway, knowing better than to refuse Felix's doting.]

FINE.]
What do you want, Sylvain?

I brought some bandages.

And don't mess around. Just tell me.

[Felix can put the pieces together so he doesn't ask. There's just no need to. Instead, he traces one of the wounds and then...]
Did she try to do something to fix this while you guys were in the room?
[Okay. Maybe one question.]

He manages to keep his mouth shut for all of five seconds before leaning back, rolling his head back to look at Felix.] I'm fine, y'know.
Just a couple of cuts. I've had way, way worse. We both have.
[He tilts his head, nudging him with his nose.]
Thanks. For patching me up.

[Flicking his ear, he goes to put the supplies away, having to swing his leg away to stop straddling Sylvain.]
Don't make me sound like I'm worried. I'm not.
[That part's definitely a lie.]

Okay.

I'm coming back. I just have to put this away.
[He looks to the dogs and sees Dimitri sleeping. Alright then...]
Sylvain...go over there.

Your dog is weird, Fe. A needy little boy.

[Felix smirks a bit and scratches the dog's ears before sitting on the bed next to the red head.]
He's a puppy. Give him a break.
